Everything is just a little out of order... But Ill explain what I can!
The picture above is the gate before Ft. Benning. The crosses we carry are written with names of the disappeared, tortured, raped or murdered. We leave them at the gates every year at the end of the protest and usually the whole gate is covered with them.
After the march, people stay waiting at the gates...
I thought this was just beautiful... Representation of solidarity from all faiths!
A woman who had chosen to "cross the line" that day. It had been planned perfectly. She is human rights lawyer and had marched right up to the gate, pulled a ladder that was hidden by a banner and climbed right over that thing. Four police men with cuffs were waiting for her at the other side. She will be facing 5-6 months for trespassing on government property..
At one end of the protest... we walk in two different directions in a circle up and down this LONG street leading to Ft. Benning.
